AMA G. GYIMAH

Ama Gyimah is the Founding Partner of Gyimah Law, PLC., where she brings seven years of legal experience to Illinois and Michigan. Ama earned her law degree from Loyola University Chicago and her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida (cum laude). Since 2018, she has represented clients in complex civil matters, earning a reputation for her strategic approach, courtroom confidence, and client-focused advocacy. Ama’s practice is rooted in handling civil matters, where she has handled a wide range of disputes on behalf of both institutional and individual clients. Her experience spans in both federal and state courts.
In addition to her commercial litigation work, Ama also offers legal support in family law matters, including Guardian ad Litem representation and child-centered advocacy. She has been recognized by her peers and the legal community as a Super Lawyers Rising Star and was named among the Top 40 Under 40 National Black Lawyers, a distinction reserved for attorneys demonstrating excellence in their field and a commitment to leadership.
As a passionate advocate for equity in the legal profession, Ama volunteers with the Minority Legal Education Resources (MLER) program, where she tutors Illinois bar exam takers and supports the next generation of attorneys.
